Graduating from LaTrobe University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2006, Emma has over 15 years experience as a paediatric occupational therapist, in a range of health and disability organisations, in rural and metropolitan Victoria and Tasmania, and internationally in London. She returned to her hometown of Bendigo in 2013.
Emma has a passion for providing an individualised approach for each child. She is committed to understanding each child in the context of their family and community, and works to pair that knowledge with practices that are rooted in high quality evidence.
Emma has extensive experience in working with infants, children and adolescents with cerebral palsy and acquired brain injuries. Emma's interventions focus on occupational performance; that is, the dynamic interaction of a person, their environment, and the occupation they are participating in. She is skilled in providing high quality evidence based interventions including modified-Constraint Induced Movement Therapy, Bimanual Occupational Therapy, Goal Directed Training, equipment prescription and environmental modifications.
Emma is also Mum to two children; and loves travel, photography and all things craft.
